STEVE SACHSE is a composer and guitarist.  A native midwesterner, Steve studied composition and jazz guitar at Missouri State University where he received his BM degree in composition in 2008, as well as the Mel Bay award in consecutive years for his guitar studies.   His compositions draw from diverse interests, including modern and traditional approaches to Western art music, indigenous and world musics, contemporary jazz forms, and various electronic and electro-acoustic mediums.  His previous teachers have included John Prescott, Michael Murray, Randy Hamm, and William Campbell.  Steve currently attends the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studies composition with Daniel Kellogg and serves as part of the graduate teacher program as a master’s student.
